Renew an Expired (Late) License

If you are renewing your license which is expired less than 90 days, you must:

If you are renewing your license which is expired between 90 days and 364 days, you must:

  • Submit a License Renewal form, with a list of your CC activities and copies of your certificates.
  • Take the  Jurisprudence Assessment Module*
  • Include a check or money order for the renewal fee plus a late fee equal to the renewal fee. 

Beginning June 1, 2017, individuals renewing their license will be required to take the PT Board's new Texas Jurisprudence Assessment Module (TX JAM). The TX JAM will replace both the current Jurisprudence (JP) Exam and the ethics/professional responsibility renewal requirement. For more information, click here.

IF YOUR LICENSE HAS BEEN EXPIRED FOR ONE YEAR OR MORE, you may not renew your license but must restore it. Information about license restoration.
